Pre-K Program
St. Andrew School offers a Pre-Kindergarten Program.  Children must be 4 years of age by December 31st and potty trained. This class meets Monday through Friday from 7:35 - 1:55. Our Pre-K program is an academic program that truly prepares each child for Kindergarten. Pre-K students participate in all school functions as appropriate. Pre-K students do not wear a uniform. Tuition for Pre-K is $6200 plus a $300 application fee due at registration. Participation in the Morning Program (opens at 7 am) and the After School Program (available until 5:30 pm) are included in the cost of our Pre-Kindergarten program. Please consult your tax advisor to deduct your tuition from your income taxes. St. Andrew School also accepts Care4Kids, a State of Connecticut program.

Kindergarten Program
We offer a full-day kindergarten. Children must be 5years of age by December 31. The program includes learning letters and recognizing their sounds, rhyme words, basic sight words, beginning and ending sounds. They will learn to write letters, words, and simple sentences. In mathematics, in addition to counting, and writing numbers, the children also learn simple addition. Students have ‘Center Days’ that allow for creative interaction and experimentation. Kindergarten students wear the gym uniform and sneakers each day.

All students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten will be screened by the teacher in March. Teachers administer a short assessment to determine a student's eligibility for success in our program. Parents will be notified regarding their test date and time.
