Principal's Message
My name is Mrs. Maria O’Neill and I have been a part of the St. Andrew family for twelve years. I am proud to work with such a dedicated group of teachers who live the mission of the school on a daily basis.
Students come to St Andrew School from all over the city and beyond. Our school celebrates its diversity in every grade. Students at St Andrew School are exposed to a rigorous curriculum and have many opportunities for extracurricular activities.
As a Catholic school, our students have religion classes every day. We also celebrate Mass as a school at least monthly with student participation. In addition to religion, students' core courses include literacy, mathematics, social studies and science. The school also offers art, music, computer, library and physical education on a weekly basis. Students in grades three through five have Spanish once a week and students in grades six through eight have Spanish twice a week..
St Andrew School is a wonderful place to be! Come for a visit and you will be sure to see the good work being done by good students and teachers!
Please feel free to contact me directly. My email address is moneill@diobpt.org.

Our Philosophy
The St. Andrew School community believes that each child is created by God to grow to his or her potential. By providing students with a safe, nurturing atmosphere, students are called to answers God’s calling to use their time, talent and treasure. The teachers instruct students in basic academic skills and provide opportunities for students to grow academically and spiritually. A wide range of programs, teaching techniques and extracurricular activities provide support and challenges to meet the needs of all students.
Our History
St. Andrew School, one of the six schools collectively known as the Cathedral Education Cluster, opened its doors in September 1963 for students in grades five, six and seven. The school remained a middle school until 1976 when it began operation as an elementary school containing grades one through eight. Kindergarten was added in the fall of 1996 and Pre-K opened their doors in 2004.
Our Mission
The Mission of St. Andrew School is to provide students with a sound academic foundation rooted in a strong Catholic tradition to enable them to develop, grow and succeed. We strive to instill Christian values so that students may respect and care for each person and nature as God's gifts. St. Andrew School offers opportunities to explore physical, intellectual, social and spiritual selves so that students can take their places as contributing members of the local and global communities.
