SCHOOL HOURS:
7:50am to 2:00pm
The school doors are opened for students at 7:30 AM. Students should be in school by 7:40am. The LATE BELL rings at 7:50am. Students not in their homeroom at 7:50 AM are considered tardy.

Students not picked up by 2:15 will be sent to the After School Program. Parents are charged the daily per child rate for this program.

Early Dismissal (half day) is at 12:00 noon.

OFFICE HOURS:
7:30am to 3:30pm when school is in session. On days of early dismissal the Office may close early.

Summer office hours: 9:00am to 1:00pm. During the summer (June 30 – August 15) the hours vary. They will be posted on the front door of the school and on the answering machine. E-mail and Voice mail is checked daily.

Busing is available to students residing in the City of Bridgeport who live more than one mile from school. See the school secretary for a bus request.

Assessment

Diocesan Standardized Tests
The IOWA Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) is given in March to students in grades 3-7.
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAt) is given in March to students in grades 1, 3, 5, & 7.

Reading Assessments
These tests are used to determine students reading level, strengths and weaknesses.

Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA) – Students in grades 1-3 are given the DRA in September, January and May to assess their progress in Reading. Kindergarten students are given the DRA in January and May. New students are given the DRA in September.

The Reading for Application and Instruction (RAI) - Literal and inferential comprehension questions address essential reading skills. This test is given to students in grades 3-8 three times a year to assess their reading ability.

Math Assessments
Diocesan Benchmark Test – Blue Ribbon Math Test given to students in grades 4 & 5 in the beginning and end of year to assess progress, strengths and weaknesses. This is a web based assessment.

Science Assessment (Beginning in the 2010-2011 school year)
Diocesan Benchmark Test – Blue Ribbon Science Test given to students in grade 5. This is a web based assessment.
