Our information technology teacher is Mrs. Kim Lucas.
Every classroom is equipped with a Smartboard, projector, TV and VCR/DVD player. The teachers integrate technology into the curriculum through the use of the Smartboard and the use of laptop computers. We have two laptop carts, each has 30 laptops. Each classroom also has three or four desktop computers.
All computers and laptops connect to our network and the Internet through wireless connections. The library also has four desktop computers and access to a Smartboard. St. Peter School is equipped with a Weatherbug Weather Station which has a live camera. The students also enjoy playing Jeopardy in a game application much like Jeopardy as seen on TV.
Students in grades 5-8 have access to School Web-locker. This allows them to work on assignments/projects either in school or at home without the need of a flash drive and little threat of a virus being transmitted either to their home or a school computer.
Other programs students have access to at home include World Book Encyclopedia, Rand McNally Classroom, Weatherbug Achieve, Aleks (Math application grades 5-8) and Visual Thesaurus.
