SCHOOL HOURS:
7:50am to 2:00pm
The school doors are opened for students at 7:30 AM. Students should be in school by 7:40am. The LATE BELL rings at 7:50am. Students not in their homeroom at 7:50 AM are considered tardy.
Students not picked up by 2:15 will be sent to the After School Program. Parents are charged the daily per child rate for this program.
Early Dismissal (half day) is at 12:00 noon.
OFFICE HOURS:
7:30am to 3:30pm when school is in session. On days of early dismissal the Office may close early.
Summer office hours: 9:00am to 1:00pm. During the summer (June 30 – August 15) the hours vary. They will be posted on the front door of the school and on the answering machine. E-mail and Voice mail is checked daily.
Busing is available to students residing in the City of Bridgeport who live more than one mile from school. See the school secretary for a bus request.
Miss Cynthia Latham is the physical education teacher.
Each physical education class begins with stretching and toning exercises.
The activities include not only learning how to play a sport but the rules and strategy of the sport.
Students also complete the President’s Physical Fitness test each year and the scores are reported to the State of CT Department of Education.
Other activities that aid in coordination, agility and motor skills are included in the curriculum.
